DAILY BEAUTY ROUTINE

Daily skincare Routine

Proper skincare routine requires daily attention and maintenance. It requires a proper routine.
Before you think to start a skincare routine, you should know your skin type so you will be able to care of your skin.

Skin Types

There are five basic types of healthy skin: normal, dry, oily combination and sensitive skin.
Normal skin – is neither too oily nor too dry.
Dry- flaky and rough texture.
Oily- greasy appearance. Prone to acne breakouts.
Combination- a mix of oily skin and dry skin.
Sensitive-  skin flushes with spicy food and adversely reacts to new products.

Morning routine / daytime regimen
1. Stay hydrated

Drink 2 glasses (16 ounces) of room temperature water first thing in the morning. Water does wonders for our skin. It keeps our skin hydrated and healthy. If you don’t drink enough water throughout the day, your skin may dry up and start getting flaky.

2. Cleanser

Warm water helps to loosen the dirt, but preserve your skin’s natural hydrating oils. Start by splashing your face with warm water or if you must, choose a cleanser or face wash that works for your skin type. Apply a small amount of cleanser with finger tips then rinse with warm water and pat the face dry.

3. Toner

Most people choose to skip toners. If you are living your life without using toner and your skin is healthy there is no need to start using one. “Toners were created to help returns skin’s pH after it became too basic from harsh soaps.” Those who have oily and acne-prone skin should look for toners with ingredients like glycolic or salicylic acid. To apply a toner, use a cotton pad and gently pat the toner over the face.

4. Moisturizer

Everyone needs a moisturizer, even if you have oily skin. The best time to apply moisture is while the skin is till damp, so the sooner you’ll be able to lock in much-needed hydration with your moisturizer. If you have acne or your skin is oily, find a moisturizer that’s lightweight and oil-free so it won’t block your pores.

5. Sunscreen

Sunscreen keeps your skin tone even, it prevents facial brown spots and discoloration. Sunscreen should be the last step in your daytime skin care routine if you’re using a physical or mineral sunscreen, which works by physically blocking UV rays. Chemical sunscreens have to be absorbed into the skin to be effective, so applying after your moisturizer will delay and hinder that because your moisturizer may contain sunscreen already. Look for a sunscreen that gives you board spectrum protection with SPF of at least 30.
